  • Remember when pickup trucks cost less than a year’s salary?

  • Remember when cable TV had no ads? Now there are ad channels: QVC to name one.

  • Remember when life had less stress? Technology demands we be someplace or do something every waking hour or we are missing out on life.

    Remember answering the phone and being surprised at who had called you?

  • When did being a good Samaritan morph into road rage?

    After reading all of those, a person would have to ask her/himself, are we really any better off???? What might the next 40-50 years bring?

    Re your Christmas story, BEST one yet! I think a we may have had some similar experiences. I once recall being assigned the hated tinsel installer and, just as soon as my Mother left the room, I recall throwing large handfuls of it at the tree. To this day, I don’t know how she knew I did that. Maybe….the fistful globs hanging from the branches????
