Rebecca – Have to say Penny Serenade was not a ‘man’s’ flick. Grant and Dunne were much better in The Awful Truth, a comedy he would probably get a kick out of. Shane was great, but I love Alan Ladd. I don’t care for Westerns but Shane was good. I don’t care for Meryl Streep in anything but my boy Clint Eastwood was my main attraction in Bridges, but didn’t like ending. My all time favorite movie is Casablanca. I taped it the one time they showed it in color. My other favorites are The Valley of Decision (movie and book) and Magnificent Obbession (the old one with Irene Dunne and Robert Taylor). It was first novel I read.

Haven’t been to LaLa cause I knew not to ask Bob to go to it!! If with Walt at your theater with food and beer he might agree. Went to one while Bob was in Navy school had to save for a month and went to see on that everyone was raving about “Far From the Madding Crowd”! It was horrible everyone in there was moving around and talking etc 😩😫.
